Best Neurologist in Dinajpur - Book Appointment
My Feet Stop at the Doorway
I am sixty-eight, and I have started pausing at every doorway in my own house. At each threshold my feet seem to stick to the floor. I stand there a moment, holding the frame, before they will move again. Turning around in our narrow kitchen is worse. I take tiny steps and keep a hand on the wall. Out in the open yard I walk almost like before. My son noticed it before I would admit anything. He says a nerve specialist should see this pattern while it is still new, so I am looking for a neurologist in Dinajpur.
When I sit with the specialist, I will describe the pattern exactly as it happens. How long the stops last. How many times a day. Which doorways are worst. He will ask about any earlier treatment and will want to see old reports if I have them, before he says what he thinks. He may ask me to walk across the room, turn, and walk back, and check the strength in my legs while I sit. If he feels the trouble belongs to a different sort of doctor, I trust he will tell me straight.

The Medicines on My Shelf Keep Their Hours
At my age the shelf already holds a few daily medicines, and each one has its hour. I take them in the amounts written on the packets, morning and night, whether the day feels good or bad. A better week is not proof that a medicine has finished its work. If a dose ever needs to change, the doctor who wrote it will make that change after seeing me. I will not quietly drop one because my feet behaved well for a few days.
Sudden Trouble Will Not Wait for My Appointment
My son and I have agreed on the signs that cancel all waiting. If one side of my body, or one side of my face, suddenly turns weak. If my words suddenly come out slurred or make no sense. If a headache like nothing before arrives all at once. If shaking begins and does not stop, or returns again and again. If the sight in one eye or both suddenly goes. If I suddenly cannot think clearly. Any of these means the hospital, or our regular doctor, the same day. Not next week.
Looking Through the Names With My Son
We will read the profiles on this page together, my son and I. Chamber distance matters; a long journey on a bad morning is its own problem. We will also keep in mind that some troubles are handed to a different specialist. Should mine ever need an operation, this site lists general surgeons in Dinajpur as well, and we can look through those profiles the same way. First, though, the neurologist below has to see how I walk.
My Son's Questions, and Mine Too
Is stopping at doorways really worth a specialist's time?
My son asked the same thing. A pattern that appears in one place, like a threshold, and not in open space is still a pattern. Specialists read exactly these small, repeated details.
Can my son sit in during the appointment?
If he has watched the stops more closely than I have, yes. He can add the times I forget, and he will hear the instructions with his own ears.
What will the specialist actually watch when I walk?
How I start, how I turn, whether my steps shorten at a doorway. Simple things, done in the room. Nothing painful, and nothing decided before he has seen them.
I walk almost normally in the yard. Should I mention the doorways at all?
Mention them first. Where the trouble appears, and where it does not, is part of the pattern. Leaving out the good parts would give him only half the picture.
Will my daily medicines be stopped or changed straight away?
I do not expect so, and I will not change any of them myself beforehand. Whatever I take now continues as written until the doctor who prescribed it says otherwise.
If my speech suddenly turns strange one morning, what should we do?
Treat it as a same-day matter. Go to the hospital, or to our regular doctor, that day. Do not wait to see whether it passes, and do not wait for the booked visit.
