About Us

Rajshahi, historically known as Rampur Boalia and famously nicknamed “Silkcity”, is located on the north bank of the Padma River. The city lies in the ancient region of Pundra Vardhana, a place rich in history and culture. Rajshahi is blessed by the mazar of Sufi Saint Hazrat Shah Mukhdam, making it a significant spiritual center as well.

The city is renowned for its silk and mangoes, which are its main attractions, drawing not only local visitors but also people from abroad. Rajshahi is widely known across the country as the city of education, and as part of this legacy, the Rajshahi Medical College and Rajshahi Medical College Hospital were established in 1958. Since then, this hospital has been serving as a vital healthcare hub for the entire northern region of Bangladesh, providing high-quality medical care to people across the area.
