Popular Diagnostic Centre Ltd Mirpur Unit 1 is a diagnostic and consultation centre in Mirpur, Dhaka. Diagnostic tests and outpatient consultations are provided at this premises, without any overnight admission facility.

The centre opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 11:00 PM on all seven days of the week. Older residents know the Section-6 locality around the building as Original-10. Patients should check the unit name printed on the appointment slip before attending.

Diagnostic Services

Pathology testing is carried out at the centre, with blood and routine samples received at the laboratory counter. A patient with a fasting test should arrive early and confirm the food rule before eating. The prescription that ordered the test should be presented when the sample is given.

Imaging studies are also arranged within the same premises as part of the diagnostic service. When a prescription combines laboratory work and imaging, both items can be completed at one address. Patients should ask for the report collection time and bring earlier reports in the same folder.

Specialist Consultations

Cardiology chambers form a regular part of the Unit 1 consultation schedule, including evening sittings. Chest and respiratory medicine consultations are also held at this address on set days. Medicine and gastroenterology consultations cover general illness, diabetes follow-up, stomach complaints and liver problems.

Nephrology consultations take place at Unit 1, and dermatology chambers run across the week. Gynaecology and obstetrics sittings include pregnancy care and infertility consultations on fixed days. General surgery, colorectal surgery and urology consultations are held here, and every consultant keeps a separate weekly day pattern.

Location and Access

Unit 1 stands in Section-6, close to the Mirpur-10 crossing on Rokeya Sarani. Patients travel here from Pallabi, Kazipara and Shewrapara, as well as from other parts of Mirpur. Traffic near the crossing is heavy in the morning, so extra journey time is advisable.

Popular Diagnostic also operates a second Mirpur premises, known as Unit 2, in Section-10. A serial issued for Unit 2 is valid only at that Section-10 building and cannot be used at Unit 1. Patients should read the unit line on the slip carefully before leaving home.
