Video Variceal Banding (R) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat esophageal varices, which are swollen veins in the esophagus that can bleed dangerously. During the procedure, a flexible endoscope equipped with a camera is inserted through the mouth to visualize the varices, and small rubber bands are placed around them to prevent bleeding.
