An MRI of both breasts is a non-invasive imaging test that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of the breast tissue. This test is often used to detect abnormalities, assess the extent of breast cancer, or evaluate other breast conditions when additional information is needed beyond what a mammogram or ultrasound can provide. During the procedure, you will lie face down on a table that slides into the MRI machine, and it typically lasts about 30 to 60 minutes.
