PATHOLOGY

24 hrs Urinary Metanephrine

Test Details & Description

The 24-hour urinary metanephrine test measures the levels of metanephrines, which are metabolites of catecholamines, in your urine over a full day. This test is used to help diagnose conditions such as pheochromocytoma, a type of tumor that can cause excessive production of adrenaline. You will be instructed to collect all urine produced during a 24-hour period, and the samples will then be analyzed in a laboratory for accurate results.
