MRI of Brain and Ciss/Space/Fiesta/MRA
Test Details & Description
An MRI of the brain, including advanced techniques such as CISS (Constructive Interference in Steady State), SPACE (Sampling Perfection with Application optimized Contrasts using different flip angle Evolution), FIESTA (Fast Imaging Employing Steady-state Acquisition), and MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography), is a non-invasive imaging test that uses strong magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of the brain and its blood vessels. This test helps doctors evaluate various conditions, including tumors, strokes, and vascular abnormalities, by providing high-resolution images without the need for radiation. During the procedure, you will lie on a table that slides into the MRI machine, and it is important to remain still while the images are being captured, which typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
