The Cortisol (Morning) test measures the level of cortisol, a hormone produced by the adrenal glands, in your blood during the early morning hours when levels are typically at their highest. This test is often used to evaluate adrenal gland function and diagnose conditions such as Cushing's syndrome or adrenal insufficiency. A blood sample will be drawn, usually between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., to ensure accurate results.
