Green Life Hospital was established in 2005 by around 50 distinguished physicians with the goal of providing specialised healthcare in the private sector. Encouraged by its success, these physicians founded Green Life Medical College (GMC) in 2009 as a non-government, non-profit, self-financing institution dedicated to serving humanity. The college began its journey in 2010 with an initial enrollment of 51 students in its first batch.
Over the years, GMC has developed into a prominent centre for medical education and learning, now admitting 110 students annually, including seats reserved for overseas students. Currently, 76 foreign students are enrolled, comprising 50 male and 16 female students. The college continually evaluates and enhances its programs to ensure the delivery of top-quality medical education. Its educational approach focuses on creating a supportive learning environment, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and professionalism needed to excel in the medical field.
Green Life Medical College is approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) and the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). It is affiliated with the University of Dhaka and recognised by international organisations, including the General Medical Council, United Kingdom. It is also listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, further solidifying its reputation as a leading institution for medical education.
