Dr. M R Khan Shishu Hospital & Institute of Child Health is a dedicated children's hospital at 6/2, Borobagh, Section-02, Mirpur-2, Dhaka-1216, run by Shishu Sasthya Foundation, Bangladesh. Named after National Professor Dr. Muhammad Rafi Khan, the pioneer of pediatric care in Bangladesh, the hospital was founded as Shishu Hospital, Mirpur in 1995, with the Institute of Child Health established on the same campus in 2006. It is a 250-bed facility offering 24-hour emergency services and regular outpatient (OPD) care for children of all ages. The hospital provides pediatric medicine, pediatric surgery, neonatology, child immunization, nutrition care, and pediatric diagnostic services, supported by inpatient wards, cabins, and an in-house pharmacy. Its Institute of Child Health is an academic wing for postgraduate pediatric education and research. Specialist care available on campus includes child urology, orthopedics, ear nose throat care, eye care, cardiology consultation, skin care, general medicine, general surgery, and gynecology services for mothers. Doctors see patients throughout the week, and the emergency department accepts child emergencies around the clock.
