Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital

Cox’s Bazar Medical College is a government medical school in Bangladesh, established in 2008, located in Cox’s Bazar. The college admits 60 students each year for its five-year MBBS program, and currently, around 300 students are enrolled.

The permanent campus, situated on a 30-acre area at Jhilongja, Cox’s Bazar, offers a pleasant environment for students. There are separate hostels for male and female students, equipped with all necessary facilities. The students gain practical experience at the 250-bed Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital, which serves as the temporary Medical College Hospital and includes all the major branches of medical education.

At present, 76 teachers are working across various departments. Professor Dr. Anupam Barua is the current principal. The college is affiliated with Chittagong Medical University, and students receive their MBBS degree from Chittagong University upon completing their fifth year and passing the final Professional MBBS examination. The university conducts the professional exams, and the results are issued by them. In addition to university exams, internal assessments are held regularly, including card completions, term-end exams, and ongoing evaluations.
