City Hospital Limited (CHL) is a 100-bed general hospital located at Lalmatia, Mohammadpur, Dhaka — at 1/8, Block-E, Satmosjid Road. The hospital began its journey on February 19, 1999, as a 20-bed specialized Burn & Plastic Surgery hospital at Panthapath, Dhanmondi. As demand for quality healthcare grew, it moved to Lalmatia on July 15, 2006, expanding into a 100-bed general hospital that includes a 24-bed Burn & Plastic Surgery unit — with 8 High Dependency Unit (HDU) beds and 16 general beds — making it one of the country's centers of excellence in burn and plastic surgery. Today City Hospital Limited offers a full range of services through specialized departments: Burn, Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery; Emergency & Primary Care; Gynae & Obstetrics; General & Laparoscopic Surgery; Medicine & Diabetes care; Newborn & Paediatric care; an ICU and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); a 24-hour Emergency Department; and the Asthar Thikana palliative-care unit for patients with incurable illnesses. The hospital is supported by modern imaging, including multi-slice CT scan facilities.
