Bashundhara Eye Hospital & Research Institute

Bashundhara Eye Hospital & Research Institute is a dedicated, non-profit eye hospital in Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka. It is a project of the Vision Care Foundation and the Bashundhara Group, and has been providing eye care to outpatients since April 2014 with the motto of enhancing vision for everyone. The hospital offers comprehensive eye care under one roof: cataract surgery (phaco) with lens implantation, glaucoma evaluation and treatment, retina and vitreo-retinal services, cornea and anterior segment care, pediatric eye care including strabismus management, uvea and ocular oncology services, orbit and oculoplastic surgery, diabetic eye care, refractive and vision correction, laser eye treatment, and emergency eye care. True to its name, the hospital is also committed to ophthalmic research and training, and works to eliminate avoidable blindness in Bangladesh. Through its Zakat Fund it provides free treatment to patients who cannot afford care.
