Rangpur Community Medical College & Hospital

About Us

Welcome to Rangpur Community Medical College Hospital, a facility born out of the vision and dedication of Dr. Md. Mofizuddin Sarker. His dream was to provide the highest standard of medical education and establish a model hospital for the underprivileged rural communities of North Bengal.

In 1975, Dr. Md. Mofizuddin Sarker opened Nazimuddin Poly Clinic in Rangpur, the first of its kind in North Bengal. Following his passing, his family and a group of passionate individuals in Rangpur honored his legacy by founding Doctors Community Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd. in 2000. This 100-bed hospital was spearheaded by his son, Mr. Md. Nazmul Ahasan Sarker.

Recognizing the growing demand for dental professionals both locally and internationally, Rangpur Dental College was established in 2001 as the first private dental college in North Bengal. The college quickly earned a stellar reputation, admitting students from across Bangladesh as well as neighboring countries like Nepal, India, and the Maldives. In recognition of its outstanding performance, the Ministry of Health, Government of Bangladesh, awarded Rangpur Dental College the title of “Best Private Dental College.”

In 2008, the institution expanded further to offer an MBBS program, ensuring the highest standards of medical education. Today, half of the students enrolled in the MBBS program are from various countries, further testament to the college’s growing international reputation.

At Rangpur Community Medical College Hospital, we continue to honor Dr. Mofizuddin Sarker’s dream by providing quality healthcare and education to all.
