Dr. Tabassum Samad

Dr. Tabassum Samad is an experienced Nephrologist and Internal Medicine Specialist with over two decades of clinical expertise. She completed her MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College, followed by FCPS in Internal Medicine and Nephrology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). Her advanced training was undertaken at leading institutions including BIRDEM, BSMMU, and Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Dr. Tabassum previously served at BIRDEM General Hospital, where she provided specialized care to diabetic patients with kidney complications and a wide range of medical conditions. Her areas of expertise include diabetic kidney disease (DKD), glomerulonephritis, acute kidney injury (AKI), urinary tract infections (UTIs), peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), and kidney transplant management. She is proficient in renal biopsy and has a particular interest in CAPD catheter insertion. Additionally, she has extensive experience in post-kidney transplant care and long-term follow-up.
